Beauty and fashion industry professionals attended the B Spa Bar Event at the LES Thompson hotel rooftop pool last week to celebrate the opening of its fifth location at 190 Allen St on the Lower East Side. DOWNTOWN Magazine sponsored the event, which was hosted by Diana Seo, the owner and founder of B Spa Bar (B for Beauteaganics), who fuses eastern and western medical teachings to create the personalized spa treatments offered at B Spa Bar. As the summer sun set and candles illuminated the pool, attendees of the event sampled the restorative manicures, facial treatments and other spa products offered at B Spa Bar. The spa’s philosophy is to help its clients achieve optimum dermatological beauty via optimum health, which stems from a healthy balance of knowledge, diet and exercise.
Seo, a driven entrepreneur, strives to boost her clients confidence about their skin, especially their face, by creating customizable skin treatments based on skin type and needs. Seo’s revolutionary approach to individualistic spa treatments stems from her belief that every body system is interdependent, and therefore the skin’s vibrance is affected by internal factors like diet, exercise and stress as well as external factors, like UV Rays and pollution.
After receiving a degree in Biophysics from the University of Connecticut and working with plastic surgeon Dr. Charles Thorne, Seo discovered that what people wanted was to look and feel beautiful. She established B Spa Bar after this realization to cater to specific client needs and desires in the cosmetic beauty industry.
