After suffering damage from Hurricane Sandy last October, the Andaz Hotel on Wall Street re-opened its event space, “The Concourse Level,” with an elegant, “invite-only” evening of food, drinks and music Wednesday, July 31st.
We arrived at Andaz Wall Street and were welcomed by an already growing group of attendees. Friends of the hotel and media alike, who were ushered into the newly renovated space with champagne flutes and an introduction to the new space. We gathered in the multi-room event space while DJ Rated-R began spinning the party with dance remixes ranging from Blondie to Icona Pop.
The space itself is a sprawling 4,700 square feet and the multi-room space was posh and elegant, with an aesthetically pleasing modern décor, as well as an eye-catching collection of colorful artwork, cityscapes by the talented Donna Dotan of Donna Dotan Photography.
“I’ve always loved the modern design of the Andaz and I think this newly renovated event space compliments the brand wonderfully,” said Dotan. ”As an architectural photographer, I’m constantly shooting various corporate locations, so I can safely say that this is a space which is both aesthetically pleasing to the eye and functionally sexy.”
