Described by the New York Times as a “hyperlocal block party,” the Hester Street Fair has been a proud partner — and launching pad — of many businesses on the Lower East Side and in the greater New York City area for the past seven years. Its first Grub Street Food Festival was attended by over 13,000 people, while the most recent opening day event alone drew over 11,000 visitors.

Returning on Saturday, Sept. 17, the Hester Street Fair aims to celebrate local businesses. The Hester brand is known for its highly-curated selection of New York City’s artisanal fashion, art, jewelry, crafts, deejays, and food vendors. Some of this year’s exhibitors will be Rudy’s Deli, Hunt And Gather Shop, Crepe Refinery, Sak Pase, Tuson Sate, Matzah Brei, Dandy Farmer, CMY Look, The Fat Radish, Macaron Parlour, Melt Bakery, Gordo’s Cantina, Osaka Grub, Peetie’s Pie, La New Yorkina, Arancini Bros, and Cheeky Sandwiches.

As the Hester experience is about bringing the community together, it is family-friendly and open to all. Those unable to attend between 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM on Sept. 17 will have other weekend opportunities to enjoy all things Hester including:

  • Sept. 24 – Wellness Weekend
  • Oct. 1 – Grub Street Food Festival
  • Oct. 8 – Balls Bistro & Regular Fair
  • Oct. 29 – Closing Party
